Adele is a KTP Research Associate working on a research partnership between De Montfort University and the Association of Public Service Excellence (APSE). The Knowledge Transfer Partnership will research and analyse local government’s response to reduced public spending; and produce practical tools that enable local authorities to formulate a strategic response to the financial challenges they face.

Adele’s policy interests include:

  • Decision making in local authorities
  • The role of co-ops and mutuals in the public sector
  • Shared Services
  • Formulating a new vision for local government beyond the cuts

Before joining De Montfort University, Adele previously worked in Councils across the North of England in roles associated with project delivery in front line services as well as corporate policy development and research.

Prior to working in local government, Adele studied at the University of Manchester where she gained a 2.1 in Politics and Modern History.
